Now Your Motoring

Classic Cars

As the owner of a 1967 MGB Roadster and a 1955 Standard 8 I know that Classic Car Ownership can give great enjoyment and be extremely rewarding, but at the same time it can be difficult for the unprepared. Driving an older vehicle is far more demanding than driving the modern equivalent as those of you with experience will know and this is one of the reasons why driving a classic vehicle is so satisfying, unlike modern vehicles that virtually drive themselves with power steering, disc brakes, ABS, ESP,etc, a classic really needs to be driven, you need to plan ahead and drive the vehicle well and the better you drive it the better the vehicle will respond and the greater the sense of satisfaction will be. So if you have recently bought a classic and it is not living up to expectations contact me and I will help you to ensure that the car of your dreams does not turn into your worst nightmare

The Now Your Motoring Classic Car Driving Course will help you to enjoy your classic car to the full. Here are some of the points that are covered.

·        Vehicle handling characteristics and dynamics.

·        How to stop safely in an emergency without ABS.

·        Vehicle safety checks

·        Vehicle Sympathy & Economy

·        Increasing awareness to encourage a more pro-active driving style to maintain safety margins

There are many different types of vehicle in this class from many different periods and as far as I know training of this kind is not available anywhere else, probably due to its highly specialised nature.

I have a great deal of experience with classic cars particularly from the 1950’s onwards and this course is invaluable for newcomers to classic car ownership.

At the end of this course you should be able to enjoy your car safely and you will benefit from improved reliability and economy.
